A move to Northern California from his native state in the summer of 2007 prompted new West Coast friends to give Bauhofer the moniker that is now known throughout the electronic scene as the name to watch out for. After producing hip-hop and forming multiple bands, Bauhofer heard dubstep at a music festival and decided to try his hand at producing the exciting new sound himself – and undeniably found his niche.
